Yesterday I reused one piece of content in three ways. Plus, I posted it in five places. You can do the same, thus optimizing your time and your written work.
Here’s what I did:
- I wrote a blog post. I published it to my blog. You can see it here.
- I then posted the same blog post to SubmitYourArticle.com as a news release. This is an e-zine article directory submission service; once approved, my articles will be submitted to many e-zine article directories. With the addition of a resource box, it will drive traffic to my coaching services, my website and my blogs. I did have to delete the links to the books mentioned and to my own product; any type of promotional copy causes an article to fail the approval process at SubmitYourArticle.com.
- I then posted it to my ExpertClick.com account as a press release, which will be seen by the media, with the addition of a link to my Evaluate Your Book for Success Workbook (one of the links I deleted in step #2). This will drive the media, as well as other readers, to my website or to my expert page at ExpertClick.com.
Additionally, I got added exposure for the blog post by copying and pasting it into my blog at VibrantNation.com. This blog consists totally of repurposed material. I have good readership and exposure there–especially when my posts are featured in the weekly newsletter, which goes out to over 50,000 women over 50.
Plus, I published the blog post in Redroom.com, where I am a member.
Same material–one blog post–used three ways and posted in five places. You can–and should–be doing the same thing. You can do it with any material, not just blog posts. Write a press release, then recycle it into a blog post and a news release, for example. It’s pretty simple.
Tomorrow I’ll tell you how to publicize your work in multiple social networking sites in one easy step.
