Researching January Jones’ personal and professional life has led us to create ad campaigns for Nina Amir’s writing services and the native peoples of January’s birth state. Today, it is time to focus on the costume that January Jones is wearing in her upcoming western movie.
From January 17 to January 27, January Jones is premiering a new movie at the Sundance Film Festival. In this movie, January goes against type, portraying a former prostitute in a western film. Look closely at her promotional photos with the cast of this western film. Notice anything interesting or unusual about her costume?
Writing Prompt 008
- Step 1: Find out the name of the new western starring January Jones and premiering at the Sundance Film Festival. Do basic research about this movie.
- Step 2: Look carefully at the costume that January is wearing in the promotional photo. Note its unusual color and style. Why do you suppose that color is an appropriate choice for a costume in a western film? Do you think she looks different than the men on the cast? In what way?
- Step 3: Draw your own conclusions and write about why you think the filmmakers have chosen this particular choice of costume for January. Think about the description of western films. Consider costume and color choices. Basic research will lead to intriguing insights, but differentiate that with your own thoughtful response.
