Pop Culture Monday
Pop Culture Mondays have been very exciting so far! We have learned to research and write about celebrities, write about the Duchess of Cambridge’s medical condition, and today, we will write a review of one of Lindsay Lohan’s movies.
Let us focus our celebrity spotlight on the movies starring controversial actress, Lindsay Lohan. Less than 30 years old, Lindsay has already suffered a lifetime of personal and professional struggles that are well documented in the media. I am absolutely fascinated by this woman and the drama that follows her. Through it all, she continues to work successfully in her profession as an actress! That is a testament to her true talent.
Because the media features so much gossip and negative press about Lindsay, it is easy to confuse the issues and cloud our judgment. In today’s prompt, your job is to wade past the muck, pinpoint a Lindsay Lohan movie of your choice, and write about it from the perspective of a movie critic.
Writing Prompt 007
- Step 1: Do some basic research on Lindsay Lohan. Find a short clip of Lindsay acting in any movie from her career.
- Step 2: Watch the clip and try to understand the storyline from the viewpoint of a professional movie critic. Concentrate on Lindsay’s acting skills. Is she a believable actress? Does she convey emotion appropriately? Did she embrace the character she played?
- Step 3: Write a review of the movie clip you watched. Emphasize the quality of Lindsay’s acting skills by noting specific examples from the clip.
- Bonus Step: If you own a blog and wish to share a link to the blog post that contains your response to today’s writing prompt, we welcome your permalink and encourage you to post it as a comment below!
